No, the drivers are not liable for damages beyond their control.

Sometimes you may be required to take a vehicle home overnight for delivery the following morning. They need to be parked off street for insurance purposes.

We issue a trade plate after the initial training period – during that time we only give a limit number of taxed vehicles per day.

As long as you have consent from the owner to park vehicles overnight, we will consider your application.

Job fees are based on distance, they can vary from 1 mile to 300 miles or more.  Average job mileage is around 135 miles.

Majority of regulars earn £1,200 to £1,600 per month.  But several regular and punctual drivers earn more, some more than £2000.

Yes. We fully reimburse travel costs to and from home, as well as in between jobs. Taxis are allowed if prior authority is obtained and if public
transport is not available. We pay on a monthly basis, but if you need any help with expenses in the meantime, we offer advance funds to cover the costs so you don’t have to wait for a month to claim back your travel costs. In case a driver is delivering a long distance vehicle and had to stay overnight, we meet the cost of B&B + meals.

Unfortunately these reviews date back to a long time ago. We addressed these issues by retraining our Support Team to assist drivers better.  We also have introduced an additional management team to guide our Support Team.

In March this year we increased our fees to our drivers by 27%.  We are working on other cost improvement activities to be able to further increase fees to drivers.

We are friendly, honest, fair and respectful company. Half of our drivers remain with us for over a year, a quarter for over 3 years and some more than 20 years. We have done something right to be operating for over 30 years. Come and see for yourself. Once you join, you will view these reviews differently.

It depends on the work allocated for the day, these can include both long and short days. It is a mixed bag. On average our drivers work around 8 to 10 hours a day, from home to back to home.

When drivers restrict the times available during a day, it restricts our planner to select suitable jobs which affects the drivers earnings.

We work for customers from a number business sectors, vehicle manufacturers, leasing, dealerships, rental, auctioneers, re-marketeers and other wide area of general businesses. Some have depots spread over the country from where we collect and/or deliver vehicles. We deliver to business premises and private homes nationwide.

Your services to Ace Vehicle Deliveries Ltd (ACE) are on a self-employed basis. As a self-employed, one has the freedom of choice when to work, but it is volume that increases earnings.  If a plumber only does a job on the odd day, his earnings will reflect that – same applies here.

As you are self-employed, you are responsible for paying your own tax and national insurance contributions. You are required to notify HM Revenue & Customs within three months of becoming self-employed. You can do this by calling the helpline for the newly self-employed on 0300 200 3310 or use this link https://www.gov.uk/register-for-self-assessment

If you set up as a sole trader, which means your business is owned and run by you alone, you will pay income tax through self-assessment.

The first tax payment is normally due on the 31st January – following the end of the tax year; this could mean there will be up to 20 months before the completion of your first year and the payment of tax; make sure you are putting away enough to cover what you will owe.

You will also have to pay Class 2 national insurance contributions; details are found online on the HMRC website. You can do this on a monthly or six-monthly basis
